The scope of supply included modern, highly reliable PLUTON equipment:
Within the frames of the project on substation modernization, PLUTON provided for the first time the modern and powerful withdrawable “diode-fuse” rectifier with a rated current of 7 kA.
Furthermore, the IEC 61850 Power Industry Communications Standard was also applied to the Albano substation. It provides integration of all equipment and systems at the substation into a unified communication network for prompt and safe control, as well as for the integration into the control system of other levels (for the first time, PLUTON successfully applied this Standard in Stockholm, at Vallentuna and Lindholmen, the traction substations for city electric transport).
Another project was successfully implemented at the end of 2022 - supply of equipment for Slussen traction substation.
Slussen is the second busiest station in Stockholm metro. Slussen is a transfer hub between the green and red metro lines, so it has a very high number of passengers every day. It required an increased power supply capacity for this metro section, and necessitated construction of an additional substation.
Slussen substation includes modern 8 kA line feeders, resistant to atypically high load level. Switchgears are of an improved design. They ensure resistance to internal arcing, and thus, high safety for personnel during operation. The substation is very small in terms of area, so all the equipment is designed to occupy minimal space. Furthermore, the IEC 61850 Power Industry Communications Standard was also applied to the substation.
