PLUTON became the official sponsor of the All-Ukrainian stage of engineering competition EBEC Challenge

On May 16, 2018, Lviv (Ukraine), started the All-Ukrainian stage of the EBEC Challenge engineering competition with PLUTON as the official sponsor.

The EBEC Challenge is the greatest competition among students of European technical universities and was founded in 2002 by BEST (Board of European Students of Technology), a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organization. The purpose of the competition is to give students an opportunity to realize their potential in the field of engineering, to demonstrate creativity and unconventional thinking, as well as to show teamwork skills. Third-year and fourth-year students from Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsya, and Zaporizhzhia took part in the competition. The competitors split up into four teams, with four persons in each team. The competitions were divided into two categories — applicative and analytical.

Case Study (analytical) is the category, where participants had to find a solution of theoretical, technical, and management tasks, i.e. to develop a Smart Parking concept, a self-powered city with a population of 100 thousand residents, and offer a concept of a car, which would be able to travel a distance of 200 km using any kind of energy. The participants demonstrated the final solution in English in the form of an extensive presentation of ideas and concepts with technical and economic feasibility.Team Design (applicative) category involved the creation of a rotary crane with automatic cargo color classification using strictly limited set of tools and materials within 3 days.The Lviv team became the winner of the Case Study category. In the Team Design category, the team from Vinnytsya demonstrated the working solution, which maximally met the requirements of the task.

The judges including PLUTON experts evaluated the performed tasks. After the competition was finished, the representatives of our company had a conversation with all teams, shared more detailed information concerning enterprise activity and services provided, as well as contact information for feedback.
