We are glad to share our latest achievements with you!
Recently, a long-time coming event took place in Poland for the residents of Łódź and Konstantynów Łódzki- restart of tram No. 43. We are proud that our Company was involved in this significant project.
Until recently, the tram line connecting Łódź and Konstantynów Łódzki was one of the oldest in the country, having been launched in 1910. The line was closed in 2019 due to its poor technical condition, and now the line is available for passengers again. The route modernization has significantly improved its safety and comfort, allowing residents of two cities to enjoy convenient tram service again.
Traction network was modernized to provide power to the renovated tram route. Pluton has supplied modern modular traction substation Przygraniczna. The substation consists of two AC and DC modules. Proven, modern and cost-effective technical solutions that comply with European standards in the field of traction power supply were applied for the project implementation. Przygraniczna substation included the following Pluton equipment: withdrawable traction rectifiers, AFB ultra-high-speed circuit breakers, and substation control system based on SOTA PLC with IEC 61850 communication protocol support. The substation was integrated into MPK-Łódź Central Power Operations Control Center via 5G network communication.
Application of both vacuum medium-voltage circuit breakers and innovative AFB DC circuit breakers based on vacuum switching technology ensures compliance of the substation with the European Union directives on gas emission neutrality. The applied solutions definitely increase the level of reliability, safety, environmental friendliness and economic efficiency of the substation operation.
We greatefully acknowledge MPK-Łódź for the trust and support and look forward to further successful and efficient cooperation in implementation of new interesting projects!
