Kostanai Minerals JSC

Kostanai Minerals JSC, founded in 1916 in Zhitikara (Kostanay Region,  the Republic of Kazakhstan), is the only one modern highly mechanized enterprise in the Republic of Kazakhstan that specializes in the extraction and processing of a rare mineral — chrysotile. Nowadays production capacity of Kostanai Minerals JSC is 400 thousand tonnes of chrysotile per year. Products of Kostanai Minerals JSC are in high demand of more than 20 companies from around the world.

In 2019 Kostanai Minerals JSC starts with modernization of old traction substation of DC 1,65 kV of departmental railway, that is in operation since 1967. Modernization of traction substation included change-over to higher technical level due to replacement of outdated equipment for the modern and highly-efficient products. Specially for this project PLUTON carried out manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning supervision of 1.65 kV modern rectifier. Rectifier is equipped with microprocessor protection, diagnostics and control system, and has built-in WEB-interface. Due to that fact that rectifier requires minimum maintenance and has long lifetime, its application allows significantly reducing operational costs.
