Pluton in cooperation with Schneider Electric Romania has successfully implemented one more project in Romania. This is a modern modular traction substation in Vaslui. The substation provides reliable and uninterrupted power supply to a part of Gară - Moara Grecilor trolleybus line.
The key objective of this project is to upgrade transport electrical infrastructure by introducing modern technologies and innovative solutions. The project is aimed at improving public transportation and raising efficiency, stability and environmental standards, helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and create a cleaner and healthier environment for the city's residents.
The substation equipment includes powerful rectifiers and modern DC switchgear manufactured by Pluton. Pluton's solutions are based on a high priority to ensure maximum equipment reliability and compliance with the most demanding safety regulations and standards. Application of modern switchgear combined with smart control and protection systems guarantees uninterrupted power supply and personnel protection during substation maintenance and operation.
The substation is equipped with Schneider Electric SM6 20 kV air-insulated medium-voltage cubicles with highly reliable switching devices. Modern methods of monitoring parameters important for equipment operation are applied.
The substation is also equipped with telecontrol system based on SCADA EcoStruxure™ Power Operation (Scheider Electric). It allows to view all substation systems on one screen and makes it possible to actively control equipment and transmit information to high level control systems.
