Annual meeting of IGKM Power Supply Committee (Polish Urban Transport Chamber of Commerce and Industry) was held in Lodz from 27 to 28 of September. This event became a platform for meeting of representatives of rolling stockmanufacturers, carriers, maintenance factories, research centers and various enterprises serving public transport. PLUTON became one of the event sponsors.
This year the meeting was on "Modern solutions in traction power industry" issues. Within the framework of this topic PLUTON held presentation and demonstrated the experience of using innovative DC arc-free circuit breakers AFB, appliedat Lakowa modular substation implemented by PLUTON for the power supply of tram line in Zgezh.
Also, part of the meeting was a visit to the updated Operation Control Center. Power supply of all tram lines contact network in the city of Lodz is remotely controlled from there. Under the scope of this project, PLUTON introduces the latest automated operations control system and implementsconnection of 30 tram substations, including design works, supply of necessary equipment, video wall, SCADA software, installation and commissioning works.
