A test run of a tram on the new Fröhamnen–Lindholmen line, leading to Karlatornet, a new business and residential area of the city, took place in Gothenburg (Sweden). The line is a part of a large transport project, the biggest tram construction project in the city over the last decade.

Power supply of the line section is provided by two modern traction substations supplied by Pluton Company. Each substation includes the following equipment:

  • compact withdrawable rectifier;
  • DC switchgears;
  • SOTA control, monitoring and protection system with IEC 61850 protocol support.

The tram test run demonstrated stability of the systems performance and the infrastructure readiness for further operation. It was particularly symbolic that the tram was decorated with Ukrainian flag on that day, as all DC electrical equipment was supplied by Pluton Company originating from Ukraine.

We would like to thank our partner Harju Elekter for the trust and support. We look forward to continuing our successful and productive cooperation in the implementation of new interesting projects!
