27.5 kV AC switchgears
27.5 kV AC switchgears provide reliability and continuity of power supply, operational safety and ease of maintenance. 27.5 kV AC switchgears are developed, manufactured, tested in accordance with high requirements of international standards IEC 62271-1 and IEC 62271-200.

Application areas:
27.5 kV AC switchgears are provided for reception and distribution of AC electric energy of 50 Hz power frequency at railway traction substations.
Indoor vacuum circuit-breakers are designed for 27,5 kV rated voltage and 1250 A rated current. Circuit-breakers require little maintenance. It is recommended to make visual inspection and periodic cleaning of insulation parts, and greasing of drive mechanism.
It is possible to control circuit-breaker manually by pushing buttons, or electrically (release mechanism). Actuator’s drive reloads energy storage mechanism of coil spring after tripping. In addition to release mechanisms switching module also includes interlocks. Last switching operation is always switching off.
High quality vacuum tube is placed into a molded housing made of insulating material:
- vacuum tube is protected against extreme environmental conditions and damage;
- circuit-breaker pole can be dismantled as one unit.
Control and relay protection microprocessor units of leading world manufacturers provide control and protection functions in 27,5 kV AC switchgears.
Control and relay protection units provide selective protection of contact network.
A user-friendly control interface and several communication ports allow easy protection unit configuration and control, as well as complete data acquisition.
Control and relay protection units include several integrated data communication protocols (IEC 60870-5, MODBUS, DNP3) and communication via RS-485, Ethernet interfaces, which provide simple connection to any substation control system.
Main types of protection:
- definite time, inverse definite minimum time overcurrent protection;
- catenary overvoltage/undervoltage protection;
- distance time protection.
